The answer to the question posed in the title of my previous post is naivete. The Redskins defense is atrocious, Walt Harris is a piece of garbage. It's nice that the offense is playing so well, but if a defense can't control a team with a banged up offensive line, rookie runner and virtually rookie QB, then it can't control a team like the Chargers, who are coming to FedEx field in two weeks. I will now completely rescind my previous statements and say the Redskins will not make the playoffs. It's going to be a dogfight for the final two wild card spots, and usually those battles are won on the defensive side of the football. Frankly, with the Redskins, you get a defense that has allowed Frank Gore and Chris Simms to tear holes in the line and the secondary. It's with that in mind that I say: YAY, GILBERT!!! The Wizards beat the world-champion Spurs 110-95 Saturday night, and as far as I'm concerned, they're the only team worth anything in the Washington/Baltimore area. GO WIZARDS!!!
