I love Mystery Science Theater 3000. For the last two weeks or so, I've watched all my MST3K DVD's for a second, third or fourth time, depending on the episode. This is classic, underrated and undervalued comedy. For my money, not many sitcoms or comedies, in general, top the hilarity demonstrated in their send-ups of movies such as Mitchell, Manos: The Hands of Fate and any Coleman Francis picture.

It's no longer in syndication on the SciFi Channel. But be sure to pick up the DVD's. There are a number sold separately, and several more sold in 4-packs. I think they're up to Volume 8 of the 4-DVD sets. It's money well-spent. You won't be disappointed. If you need somewhat of a primer, you can rent their feature film effort on VHS, although the movie is not a completely accurate barometer of the MST3K style, as studio pressure forced them to omit many of the obscure references and jokes they would've made in a regular episode.
Jump on the MST3K bandwagon. There's still room.
