College Football Sucks

I'm not a college football fan, but I thought I'd take in this USC-Texas Rose Bowl game. I guess it's a big deal. In watching this so-called heavy-weight tilt, though, I'm wondering if these are two teams battling for the national championship or a gold medal in football in the Special Olympics. Hey, Reggie, this isn't a Thanksgiving morning tackle-football game with your friends. Why don't you try falling to the ground with the football rather than lateraling it like some wannabe, half-wit rugby player.

(But upon further reflection, I realized the sloppiness exhibited in the first half is due more to the ludicrous bowl schedule, which requires that the two teams playing for the championship take more than a month off between games. Hell, we're lucky we weren't watching a skill level equivalent to a Pop Warner contest.)

Well, Texas beat USC in last night's game. I can't say I cared either way who won, but after witnessing Bush's failed lateral, I started rooting against USC, mainly because I felt a responsibility to root against stupidity. Of course, that means I'm a hypocrite because of my advocation of the Wizards and the Orioles. Oh, well. I can live with that.
